Apartment Living on Fort Meade: Reece Crossings

March 1, 2021

Over 20 years ago, the US Army selected Corvias for a pilot program at Fort Meade that would launch what we now know as the Military Housing Privatization Initiative. Corvias is responsible for 2,628 family homes and five community centers across seven residential communities on the Fort Meade installation through that program. In 2012, Corvias expanded on-post housing to include a first-of-its-kind, on-post apartment community called Reece Crossings. Nestled between Washington, DC and Annapolis, Maryland, Fort Meade offers various housing options for active-duty service members, federal civilian employees, and DoD contractors.

Residents who live at Reece Crossings can indulge in various amenities outside their apartment home. The community features a 6,233 square-foot community clubhouse boasting a resort-style pool with lap lanes, a room with multiple flat-screen televisions, a game room, and a cyber cafe. Additionally, there is a fitness center with free weights, full-sized basketball court, volleyball court, outside pavilion, fire pit and picnic areas. Plus, there is a fitness trail with workout stations. And the community is pet friendly.

Corvias understands that innovation, modernization, and cost are invaluable, which is why residents can take comfort in knowing utilities (electric, water, sewer, and cable) are included for every apartment. Plus, Service Members can keep a portion of their Basic Allowance for Housing! The internet is high-speed so our residents can conveniently work or study from home. Or, in some cases, use the high-speed internet for gaming. Additionally, community residents have multiple, unique floorplans to choose from with spacious areas and walk-in closets. Whether you choose to live alone or with a roommate, your furnished apartment includes living room furnishings, full-size washer and dryer, a built-in microwave, dishwasher, pantry, breakfast nook, and ceiling fans. Residents also have peace of mind knowing maintenance is on call 24 hours a day.

The apartments’ location is close to the Shoppette, Post Exchange, Commissary, and a dining facility. Further, the Defense Information System Agency (DISA), Defense Media Activity (DMA), and Defense Information School (DINFOS) are all within walking distance.

Whatever your reason for choosing one of the 432 apartments, Reece Crossings’ mission is “Comfortable, Convenient, Connected,” all of which you will experience when you select your cozy accommodations. For more information and to view current move-in specials, please visit www.ReeceCrossings.corviaspm.com.
