East Greenwich, RI (January 25, 2019) - Corvias has donated $1,000 dollars to each of its thirteen higher-education partners, totaling $13,000 dollars, at its marketing summit earlier this week. The donations will go toward the individual university’s food pantries to assist students who suffer from food insecurity.
“One of our core principals is to generously give back to the communities we serve. On average, more than 30 percent of college students lack sustainable access to sufficient quantities of affordable, nutritious food,” said Corvias Founder, John Picerne. “Students at our partnering universities depend on us for a safe and reliable community to live. A community that allows them to thrive and achieve their goals. They shouldn’t have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.”
“This generous donation from Corvias is a true testament to their partnership with us in helping students persist and succeed in the college environment,” said Nick Shrader, director of residence life, Georgia Southern University- Armstrong Campus. “Many college students find themselves in difficult situations and take advantage of the food pantry we have on campus. This donation will help countless students and ensure they are not hungry.”
In addition to receiving the donations, each school representative participated in a marketing summit hosted by Corvias. During the summit, the group heard presentations, participated in discussions, and shared ideas centered around best practices for campus housing experiences, student communication and resident marketing.
